Beddau man sentenced to more than five years for drugs offences

Detectives say the jailing of a 25-year-old Rhondda Cynon Taf man highlights police's efforts to combat drug supply in South Wales.

On January 17, 2025, Conor Holt was arrested following evidence linking him to drug supply offences. The initial arrests of two other individuals on January 16 led officers to Holt, who was suspected of supplying cocaine.

Upon searching Holt's home, officers discovered a significant amount of illegal drugs, cash, and paraphernalia indicative of drug distribution.

Items recovered from the premises included various plastic wrappings and grip seal bags containing white powder, believed to be drugs, alongside a large quantity of dried mushrooms and cannabis. The presence of a substantial amount of cash, totalling approximately £6,850, alongside other valuables, further suggested his involvement in drug trafficking.

Additionally, Holt's vehicle was searched, resulting in the recovery of £250 from the passenger door. The items collected served as key evidence in the investigation and prosecution of Holt and his associates for drug-related offenses.

Detective Inspector Ian Jones said:

“This case highlights the organised nature of drug supply operations and our efforts to combat such criminal activities in the Pontypridd area.”

On Friday, May 23, Conor Holt, from Heol Undeb, Beddau, was sentenced at Cardiff Crown Court to five years and three months for the following offences:

• Possess with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A (cocaine)
• Possess a controlled drug of Class A (cocaine)
• Acquire/use/possess criminal property
• Concerned in supply of cocaine
• Possess a controlled drug of Class B (cannabis/cannabis resin)
