South Wales Police will hold an Accelerated Misconduct Hearing at 11am on Friday, October 9 at Police HQ in Bridgend, to be chaired by Chief Constable Jeremy Vaughan.
The officer subject of this hearing is Police Constable 8548 Nathan Griffiths who is accused of breaching the following standard of professional behaviour:
Standard 2 – Authority, Respect and Courtesy
“Police officers act with self-control and tolerance, treating members of the public and colleagues with respect and courtesy. Police Officers do not abuse their powers or authority and respect the rights of all individuals”
Standard 9 - Discreditable Conduct:
“Police Officers will behave in a manner, which does not discredit the police service or undermine confidence in it, whether on or off duty. Police officers report any action taken against them for a criminal offence, any conditions imposed on them by a court or receipt of any penalty notice”.
The allegations relate to off-duty conduct relating to inappropriate touching of colleagues.
