Question 1
A search has been completed using our crime and incident recording system (Niche RMS) for all arrests recorded between 30th June 2024 and 30th June 2026, where the offender gender is categorised as ‘female’ and the Arrest Reason Home Office Code is one of the following:
092/50, 092/51, 092/52, 092/53, 092/54, 054/01, 008/26, 008/61, 054/02, or 092/59. The remaining codes were not searchable.
This search retrieved 211 arrest records.
Question 2
25 out of the 211 females arrested have a domestic abuse and violence flag. However this does not mean the arrest was related to a Domestic abuse incident
Domestic abuse is core police business and we are committed to tackling this crime - from call taking and first response by officers, to the investigation and the subsequent action to protect victims. We believe that working in partnership is essential to ensure that domestic abuse becomes everyone’s business. We work closely with a number of statutory and voluntary sector agencies in South Wales to tackle domestic abuse and the many forms of violence.
