We consulted with our Corporate Services Department who have provided the following information in relation to your request.

We do however record theft of parcels using the Home Office (HO) code: 42/42/1/TH68004: Theft of mail bag or postal packet (S.1 (pt) Theft Act 1968). However, without a manual review we are unable to say whether the parcel has been stolen from a doorstep, communal area, designated safe place, or through impersonation of a delivery driver.

We consulted with our Corporate Communications department who have provided the following information in relation to your request.

 

To provide a complete and accurate record of social media messaging, press releases or community communications relating specifically to parcel theft within the last three years would engage a Section 12(1) Fees exemption. Appeals/outcomes/advice are often uploaded/posted by individual officers. There is no central searchable repository for materials. To retrieve this would require a manual trawl of all our channels (web, social media, SW Listens) for the last three years. This would take on average 5 minutes per search, and we estimate that there are roughly 30,000 items.
