REQUEST

I’m hoping to request information about the number of times police have been called to St Fagans National Museum of History, Cardiff, CF5 6XB, since January 1st 2015, in regards to reports of suspected or attempted break-ins to either the museum buildings or the museum grounds.

I’m assuming the incidents I’m looking for will be marked in the system as one of the following:

Burglary

Attempted burglary

Trespass

Aggravated trespass

Criminal damage

Theft

Attempted theft

I appreciate that incidents may also be recorded under other classifications. Please could you include any other incident categories relating to actual, suspected or attempted unlawful entry to the museum buildings or grounds

RESPONSE

A search has been completed using our crime and incident recording system (NICHE RMS) for all offences with St Fagans National Museum of History listed as the location from 01/01/2015 – 23/07/2026.

This search revealed 120 results.

These were then manually inspected to ascertain whether they involved unlawful entry to the museum buildings or grounds.

This inspection revealed 7 occurrences involving actual or attempted unlawful entry to the St Fagans National Museum of History.
