How many Post Incident procedures were called within the last 2 years as well as the figure on mandatory referrals made to the IOPC.
We have consulted with our Professional Standards Department (PSD) and our force lead on Post Incident Procedures (PIP) have provided the following information in relation to your request.
Post Incident Procedures
Within the last 2 years (01/03/2024 – 01/05/2026) there have been 11 recorded PIP callouts within South Wales Police.
Mandatory Referrals to the IOPC
PSD conducted a searched of their records for all non-voluntary IOPC referrals within the last 2 years. This search indicated that 294 mandatory referrals were made to the IOPC within this time frame.
