Please can I get data on the number of luxury watches and handbags that have been stolen between 2019 -2024?

Let's narrow the time frame to the calendar years 2024 and 2023

RESPONSE

A property search has been conducted on our crime and incident recording system (Niche RMS) under the property categories: pocket watch, wrist watch and the separate property category: bags, handbags, luggage and case within the requested time frame.

Please see attached documents entitled ‘Watch response data 358_25’ and ‘Handbag response data 358_25’

Please note we manually interrogated the data under the property category ‘bags, handbags, luggage and case’ to include handbags only.

Please also note we do not record whether items are considered ‘luxury’ therefore we have provided the brand of each item for your information.

This search will only retrieve results where the requested items have been entered as ‘stolen’ property on Niche. A different search would likely retrieve different results. These are not official South Wales Police figures and therefore, care should be taken when using them for evaluative or comparison purposes.
