I am aware that mobile cameras are used on Westbourne Road (20mph) and B4267 Lavernock Road (30mph) according to GoSafe. Therefore, I would like to request speeding offence data by month from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2024 for these two roads. 

For each road where data is available, I would like the following information: 

• Total number of recorded speeding offences per month
• The number of offences resulting in:
• Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs)
• Court prosecutions
• Driver education courses
• The average and highest recorded speeds of offenders
• The highest fine issued for a speeding offence

2. What speed was recorded for the offence?

5. A detailed breakdown of the £1,014 fine, including the specific amounts allocated for the fine, court costs, and victim surcharge.

Circumstances Surrounding the Offence:

7. Was a road traffic accident associated with the offence?

We have consulted with our Central Ticket Office (CTO) who have provided us with the information to answer your request.

The speeding offence was recorded in May 2024.

Question 2

The speed recorded was 26mph.

South Wales Police does not hold the information to answer this part of your request.

This information is owned by the courts and you may wish to submit this part of your request to them.

Questions 7 – 9

Our Central Ticket Office have confirmed that the offence was detected by safety camera. This was not detected by officers and therefore officers would not have been present for the offence.

Therefore, in relation to the offence in question, there is no further information held.
