REQUEST
I would like to know whether South Wales Police formally uses the term "untrusted source" as a classification or descriptor within its reporting, intelligence, or case handling systems. If so, please confirm whether this term is part of any official policy, procedure, or guidance, and in what contexts it may be applied (e.g. anonymous reports, unfounded claims, known unreliable sources, etc.).
Please also confirm whether this term is ever used in correspondence with external organisations such as housing associations or local authorities.
RESPONSE

A free text search was conducted on our media management system (Vuelio) for the term “untrusted source” which has returned no results.
We also consulted with our Force Intelligence unit and our BCU’s (Basic Command Units) who have confirmed that this is not a term South Wales Police use.
