REQUEST

For the calendar year 2024, please state the total number of external organizations that

 South Wales Police contracted with or utilized for the provision of services, training,  consultancy, or any other form of support related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)

    initiatives.

Following on from the previous question, for each of the external organizations identified,

    please provide a precise breakdown of the following information for the calendar year 2024:

    * The name of the external organization.

    * The specific service(s), training, consultancy, or support provided by the  organization related to DEI. (e.g., unconscious bias training, recruitment strategy

    development, diversity audit, etc.)

    * The total amount of money paid to each organization for these DEI-related services  during the calendar year 2024

RESPONSE

We consulted with our Equality, diversity, Inclusion unit who have provided the following information regarding your request.

Below is a list of initiatives commissioned by the EDI team.

• Celebrating Windrush Day – Payment to The Real Ting Catering, payment to Race Council Cymru which was paid for by Christian Police Association (CPA) therefore South Wales Police cannot provide a figure.

• Black History Month – Hiring of History of Black Britain exhibition – payment to Black Cultural Archives. This was paid from the Criminal Justice in Wales team’s budget therefore South Wales Police cannot provide a figure.

• Earnst and Young LLP were commissioned to re-evaluate SWP against National Equality Standards. No payment was made in 2024.

EDI team have not commissioned any other organisations consultancy, training or services.
