1. The number of police officers who have been injured while on duty in the last three years broken down by:

1a) Calendar years (2022, 2023, 2024) 

1b) Injury Cause (for example, assault by civilian, slip, trip, fall, road traffic incident)

1c) Injury severity (serious/minor etc.)

 

2. The number of compensation claims made by police officers for injuries sustained on duty broken down by calendar years (2022, 2023, 2024)

2a) The number of settled claims, refused claims and amount of compensation awarded broken down by years as above.

We consulted with our HR department who have provided the below response to your request.

 

Please find attached document entitled ‘Response data 377_25’ which answers this part of your request.

 

Please note that the ‘’moderate’’ injury fields are blank for 2022 and 2023 as we hold no data for this time frame. The system used prior to our current system introduced in April 2024 was not configured to collect this data.
