For the period 30th September 2023 to 30 September 2024, please provide the following information:

1. How many sex offenders were managed by your force under MAPPA during this period?
2. How many of these were classified as high risk?
3. How many sex offenders currently managed under MAPPA by your force are recorded as missing?
4. How many risk-managed sex offenders notified your force of a name change during this period?

RESPONSE

We consulted with our specialist crime, public protection and safeguarding unit who have provided the following information regarding your request.                                                       

Question 1

As of the 04/09/2023, there were 2,434 sex offenders managed under MAPPA.

As of the 06/09/2024, there were 2,586 sex offenders managed under MAPPA.

Please note, the data around sex offender management is collected on a monthly basis. The data was collected on the 04/09/2023 and 06/09/2024.

Question 2

As of the 04/09/2023, 303 offenders were classes as high risk.

As of the 06/09/2024, 366 of the offenders were classes as high risk.

Question 3

As of the 11/03/2024, there is 1 offender managed under MAPPA recorded as missing.

Question 4

During the requested time period, 21 offenders notified our force of a name change.
