Thanks to people reporting anti-social behaviour in Aberavon, we used this data to pinpoint Aberavon seafront as a hotspot for ASB and were able to make positive changes in your community.
We took action.

Officers from our Aberavon Neighbourhood Policing Team developed Operation Adriatic which addresses issues of anti-social behaviour on the seafront alongside partners such as Neath Port Talbot Council, Safer Neath Port Talbot, the RNLI and others, which has helped improve anti-social behaviour taking place.
On occasions throughout the summer, Section 35 dispersal will be authorised on the beachfront, meaning that people involved in anti-social behaviour will be required to leave the area.
Our work continues to ensure that we prevent anti-social behaviour and creating Aberavon seafront a safe and enjoyable place for all.
Inspector Andrew Price said: “Op Adriatic works to prevent any issues of anti-social behaviour before they happen. Alongside partners, this multi-agency approach will see us engage with the public to promote a shared responsibility to keep the beach safe and clear of any form of illegal activity.
"By combining our resources with those of our partners, we have the ability to prevent issues from escalating and support local residents who are affected."
