1) Whilst patrolling in the area, officers have identified suspicious activity at an address on Ruby Street. On gaining access to the address, it was evident that the premises was being used to house a cannabis factory.
237 cannabis plants located, with an estimated worth of £100,000. A 22-year-old man has been arrested, charged and remanded for production of cannabis. All 237 plants and factory equipment have been seized and sent for destruction.
2) Whilst on patrol in the Adamsdown area, officers have sighted an electric bike carrying 2 males travelling at speed. On stopping the bike, both males were searched and in total, 9 grip seal bags of cannabis and £500+ cash was recovered.
The males have been arrested for possession with intent to supply (PWITS) class B drugs and e-bike seized ready to join the queue to be crushed!
3) Whilst on patrols, a male was sighted by officers riding an illegally modified push bike in Priest Road. A search of the male recovered 84 grip seal bags of cannabis and further cannabis infused items. A total of 770g of cannabis was seized along with the e-bike that was being ridden.
The 24-year-old has been charged with possession with intent to supply Class B drugs and sentenced to 8 months in prison.
