In joining #TeamSWP you will be working within a leading force where you will be able to contribute new ideas and work to make a difference in society.
Our Public Service Access Programme offers a unique opportunity for individuals who are passionate about public service and interested in building a career within a policing environment. This dedicated entry route allows participants to join South Wales Police for a six-month paid placement, working on meaningful projects that contribute directly to our organisation and the communities we serve.
Participants will gain hands-on experience supporting and delivering a short-term project designed to enhance and build upon their existing skills, experience, or education. This programme is ideal for those who have an interest in policing or public sector work and want practical exposure to help shape their future career path.
Applicants will be expected to hold a minimum Level 3 qualification or have relevant professional experience that demonstrates their capability and readiness for a role within South Wales Police. Throughout the programme, participants will receive support, guidance, and valuable insight into the workings of a modern police service.
This is a genuine pathway for motivated individuals to gain operational understanding, develop professionally, and explore long-term career opportunities within the organisation.
