Cannabis (and cannabis resin) is a Class B drug.
Did you know: it is illegal to possess, supply, or produce cannabis.
Consequences include:
Smoking cannabis in your own home is illegal.
Possessing medical use cannabis products is also illegal, unless these have been prescribed for you.
The smell of cannabis can be concerning for neighbours and the local community. The police and their partners have powers and tools available to take enforcement action to deal with anti-social behaviour.
If you are a social housing tenant, private renting tenant or in student accommodation, your landlord (or university) may be contacted and may decide to take enforcement action against your tenancy (and university placement).
