The family of the motorcyclist who died following a collision have paid tribute to him. He has been named as 52-year-old Wayne Bowron.
They said:
“Wayne (BOW) was a loving father, grandfather, uncle, partner and friend. He was only 52 having been taken from us so suddenly. Nothing can express the loss that we are currently feeling as a family.
“Wayne was well known throughout Durham and would do anything for anyone. Wayne treated everyone like they were part of the family and had a heart of gold. Wayne loved his motorcycle and the friends he made throughout the motorcycle community. As a family our hearts are broken and there is a hole in all of our hearts that will never be filled.”
The collision occurred close to Glais Roundabout on the A4067 at 10.40pm on October 9. An investigation into the collision is currently ongoing.
Officers are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage who is yet to speak to police to get in touch quoting reference 2600331858.
