Two men from Trowbridge have been jailed for their involvement in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine in Cardiff city centre.
Drugs runner Lucus Williams, 21, was seen by plain-clothes officer dealing drugs in the city centre in November last year.
When he was arrested in Queen Street, he was found in possession of more than 100 wraps of heroin and crack cocaine, £370 cash and multiple drugs lines (mobile phones).
Further enquiries around Williams, led officers to 19-year-old Callum Mayer who, when arrested a few weeks later, was found with a drugs line and an illegal Rambo style knife.
The investigation revealed that Mayer was linked to nine drugs lines in total.
Mayer pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of heroin, being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, and possession of a knife.
He was sentenced at Cardiff Crown Court on January 15 to 3 years and 4 months in a young offender institution.
Williams pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine. possession with intent to supply heroin, being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, being concerned in the supply of heroin, possessing criminal property, and possession of a knife.
He was sentenced at Cardiff Crown Court on January 9 to 2 years and 8 months in prison.
Officer in the case, Detective Constable Daniel Davies, from South Wales Police, said: “Drug dealers live a life on the run looking over their shoulder. We know who they are and officers are out looking for them day and night.
“We will not tolerate drugs in our communities.
“We act upon the information provided to us by the public, so please keep it coming and continue to work with us.”
