A Cardiff drug dealer who was found by officers with a mouth stuffed full of drugs was jailed earlier this week.
Kaine James was arrested on November 26 (2024) when officers from the Cardiff and Vale Organised Crime Team executed a warrant at his home.
James stuffed crack cocaine and heroin in his mouth as officers forced entry - they acted quickly to prevent the drug dealer from accidentally swallowing the lethal cocktail of drugs, which is captured by body worn video.
During a search of his house, officers found £2,000 in a bedroom along with a mobile phone which he was using to run two drugs lines. Messages on his phone revealed he had sent out 1,762 messages offering class A drugs in just two weeks.
James, of Trecinon Road, Rumney, Cardiff, was charged and went on to plead guilty to possessing crack cocaine and heroin with intent to supply, being concerned in the supply of the same, and acquiring criminal property, namely money.
He was jailed for two years at Cardiff Crown Court on Wednesday, March 12. The money has been seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
