He and three accomplices were jailed for a total of 22 years earlier this week
A man from Barry sold drugs completely oblivious to a team of detectives who were waiting outside his house and saw everything.
They were watching Jacob Kennedy, 20, as they were about to conduct a search warrant at Nant Talwg Way, Barry, on August 13, 2023.
Kennedy left the property and got into a waiting car, before exiting seconds later and returning inside.
At that moment, officers arrested him - while searching his flat, they found nearly 60 grammes of high purity cocaine and 39 ecstasy tablets.
Luxury items such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Dior trainers, which were all seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
Phones seized from the address were analysed and found to contain clear evidence of drug dealing.
In August, 2025, officers interrogating a mobile device uncovered the ‘Kenno’ drugs line.
Shortly after, officers arrested Samantha Kennedy, 41, of Tennyson Road and Chirstine Doyle, 42, of Ffordd Elin.
During a search of Christine Doyle’s home, two safes were recovered which contained a large quantity of Class A and B drugs worth £15,000.
While appearing at Cardiff Crown Court August 28, 2025, to be sentenced for drug dealing offences from his arrest in 2023, Kennedy was rearrested for further offences.
Officers also arrested Robson Mallam, 22, of College Crescent, and upon searching his home address they found drugs, cash and digital weighing scales.
All four appeared at Cardiff Crown Court on Thursday, December 18: Jacob Kennedy, 20, was jailed for nine years and six months for conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs, as well as two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and being concerned in the supply of a Class A drugs; Samantha Kennedy and Robson Mallam were each jailed for four years and ten months for conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs; and Christine Doyle was jailed for two years and ten months for conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs, with 2 months activated, running consecutively, for breaching a suspended sentence order.
Detective Constable Owain Grandin, said: “Jacob Kennedy was using Robson Mallam as a runner to supply drugs on his behalf. Both Samantha Kennedy and Christine Doyle allowed drugs and cash to be kept in their houses and facilitated money transfers for the operation and were complicit in the supply of significant amounts of Cocaine, MDMA, Ketamine & Cannabis throughout Barry. Drug dealing causes misery in our communities - we act upon the information provided to us by the public, so please keep that information coming and continue to work with us.”
