Detective Inspector Owain Morrison said:

“One year after Ricky’s disappearance, we are still hopeful that members of the public might have information that could help us in our ongoing investigation.

“Since Ricky went missing, we have undertaken extensive searches with our Specialist Search officers which have included officers from our dive team, dog scent teams, the police helicopter (NPAS) and drone teams. Enquiries have been conducted as far afield as North Wales and we have had a Police Search Advisor reviewing any new information that has come our way. All reported sightings and information from the public has been followed-up. Clothing and footwear found during our searches have been sent for forensic examination to see if they could be linked to Ricky.  All proportionate and feasible physical search opportunities have been examined to the best of our ability including numerous areas of rivers, waterways, and dense vegetation.

"I'd like to reiterate that the investigation remains ongoing, and I would ask members of the public to remain observant when out and about and report anything that may be helpful to our investigation.

“Ricky’s family have been supported throughout by specially trained officers and continue to be supported and they have been kept informed about all aspects of our search to find Ricky.

“I am asking anyone who may have seen or spoken to Ricky in the days or weeks leading up him going missing on November 18, or anyone with any other information regarding his whereabouts, to contact us.”
