REQUEST
The ask for a copy of a blank investigation report print would be a bonus but not a necessity.
RESPONSE
We have consulted with our Digital Services Department who have provided us with the below information.
South Wales Police uses Niche RMS as the crime and incident recording system.
Please see the below in relation to reference number formats used on Niche RMS.
Occurrence Numbers
Occurrence numbers start with the year, followed by 8 numbers (e.g. 25########).
Case Files
Case files begin with ‘62’ which identify South Wales Police, followed by 2 letters and 7 numbers (e.g. 62CA#######).
Custody Numbers
Custody numbers begin with ‘C’, followed by the year and 7 numbers (e.g. C25#######).
Voluntary Attendance
Voluntary attendance numbers are similar to custody numbers. These begin with ‘VA’, followed by the year and 7 numbers (e.g. VA25#######).
We currently do not have a blank template of an occurrence report recorded.
