Your neighbourhood policing team
Neighbourhood policing is at the heart of our approach to keeping South Wales safe. Your local team is made up of dedicated officers and PCSOs based in the area, who have the community’s best interests at heart and who are both visible and accessible.
We work closely with residents, community leaders, your local council and other partners to understand and respond to community concerns. By working together and focusing on early intervention, prevention and problem solving, we can find long-term solutions to local issues.

South Wales Listens also gives you the opportunity to tell your local neighbourhood policing team about the issues that matter most to you, as well as take part in surveys to enable us to better understand concerns in your community.

Additional patrols undertaken as part of Operation Sentinel, following which most ASB issues in the area have been greatly reduced

Focus remains on retail theft to tackle retail crime in the area, which has seen an increase of 2% in the locality

Further presence from support units such as the mounted section, dog section have also been asked to attend the area , especially throughout the evening

Additional officers will be working to provide additional presence over the weekends to deter alcohol related ASB.

Focus remains on retail theft. Reduction of nearly 15% in reported retail theft since April, with more offenders being brought to justice.
