The number of front-line officers carrying life-saving naloxone at South Wales Police is increasing year on year.
A man from Neath Port Talbot has been jailed after controlling his ex-partner’s life and physically and emotionally abusing her.
26-year-old Tu Ba Dien, from Port Talbot, was arrested during a warrant at an address on Southdown View, Sandfields, on April 10.
The operation sees South Wales Police work closely in partnership with Neath Port Talbot Council, Safer Neath Port Talbot, the RNLI and other agencies in order to make the beachfront a pleasant space for all to enjoy.

We will continue to patrol the locations, and we will take positive action against those committing Anti-social behaviour. We will also work with schools to and partners to engage with the youth and implement early intervention and diversionary tactics.

Drug dealing was becoming more blatant within the community which was encouraging drug use. This is having a huge impact on local residents due to the crime and disruption that comes with drug use.

There has been an increase in bicycle thefts within the area, specifically from food delivery drivers who are leaving their bikes whilst delivering food.

We will continue to patrol the locations and take action against and stop check any persons believed to be riding stolen bikes. A bike marking event has been arranged to provide cycle security advice and offer security marking, and registration onto Bike Register’s online database. A leaflet drop will be conducted in locations highlighting the issue and providing suitable crime prevention and target hardening advice. Residents to be kept updated via South Wales Listens messaging.
