Officers were flagged down by a member of the public reporting that two people had been run over on Merthyr Road in Pentrebach.
Officers were called just after 10pm on Monday, February 10, with a report that a 28-year-old man had attended a hospital in Merthyr with multiple stab wounds.
A former police officer who was sacked before being sentenced to life in prison for online child sex offences has appeared in court charged with further offences.
The latest County Lines Intensification Week resulted in arrests and seizures of class A drugs, weapons and cash.
The initiative, which will run over the Christmas period and until the start of January, has seen more than 130 premises sign up.
