Two men who groomed and exploited a vulnerable teenage girl have been jailed following a South Wales Police investigation.
South Wales Police has been made aware that two 17-year-old boys from Cardiff have been arrested in Thailand.
South Wales Police welcomes His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services’ findings of how the force responds to serious and organised crime.
Thirty people have been sentenced for their part in serious disorder which happened in the Ely area of Cardiff on Monday, May 22, 2023.
South Wales Police is carrying out a review of exhibits to assess whether there is any potential for further forensic investigation.

Although this has been greatly reduced due to proactive policing patrols involving uniform and plain clothes officers it is still a priority as it has the potential to return to previous levels if not managed and acted upon. A number of persons seen riding illegal suron bikes have been reported for driving offences and in some instances the bikes have been seized.

Off-road bikes and drug dealing

Another successful partnership operation has taken place between neighbourhood teams and Cardiff councils off-road team. Operation Green Horizon aims to tackle the use of illegal bikes/scooters on green spaces and the highway around Cardiff. Hot spot locations were patrolled and bike seizures were seen across Penylan, Rumney, Llanrumney and Pentwyn. 3 illegal mechanically propelled vehicles (MPVs), 1 suron bike, 2 e-scooters and 1 vehicle was seized during the operation. All will be sent for destruction.
On 25th September, an electric motorcycle was seen being ridden into the garden of an address in Heddfan North by officers. The motorcycle was seized for no insurance and the rider reported for summons.
