South Wales Police have arrested three people in connection with threats made towards Cardiff secondary schools between March 15, 2026 and March 18 2026.
Two adults, a 44-year-old woman and a 47-year-old man and a 12-year-old boy from Birmingham have been arrested on suspicion of Bomb Hoax contrary to Criminal Law Act 1977. They remain in police custody.
ACC Thomas Williams said: "We understand the considerable concern this incident has caused parents and the community. We take these reports extremely seriously and investigations are ongoing. I would also like to reassure families that there remains no evidence of any persons attending any of the schools involved posing a threat. We continue working closely with our partners and thank the schools, parents and the wider community for their support and understanding."
