A man caught red handed dealing drugs in Butetown, Cardiff, has been jailed.
Khalid Ibrahim, 24, was spotted by a PCSO acting suspiciously in Christina Street on January 2, 2026.
He alerted local officers who were on the scene in minutes. Ibrahim resisted arrest but was detained and searched.
He was caught with heroin and cocaine and on February 14, Ibrahim, from Riverside, was jailed at Cardiff Crown Court for five years and 219 days.
Neighbourhood Policing Inspector Gareth Handy said:
“Both PCSOs and police officers are patrolling the area every day. Thanks to a bit of teamwork, this drug dealer was caught and is now in prison.
“Illegal drugs cause significant harm and working closely with the community, we remain committed to targeting those involved. Anyone with information about drug dealing should report it to us as this case shows we will respond and take action.”
