Summary
South Wales Police held a gross misconduct hearing in respect of former Special Constable Pedro Gordo-Soares who was accused of breaching the standards of professional behaviour, namely Standard 9 - Discreditable Conduct, in connection to inappropriate comments on social media and use of language which members of the public found to be offensive.
Decision
Had former Special Constable Pedro Gordo-Soares still been a serving officer he would’ve been dismissed.
In accordance with the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020 the Findings and Outcome from this hearing will be referred to the College of Policing in order for former Special Constable Pedro Gordo-Soares to be placed on the Private Police Barred List.
