South Wales Police will hold an Accelerated Misconduct Hearing chaired by Chief Constable Jeremy Vaughan at 11.30am on Wednesday, August 27, at Police Headquarters in Bridgend.
The officer subject of the hearing is Former Special Constable 77081 Pedro Gordo-Soares who is accused of breaching the standards of professional behaviour, namely Standard 9 - Discreditable Conduct: “Police Officers will behave in a manner, which does not discredit the police service or undermine confidence in it, whether on or off duty. Police officers report any action taken against them for a criminal offence, any conditions imposed on them by a court or receipt of any penalty notice” in connection to inappropriate comments on social media and use of language which members of the public found to be offensive.
