REQUEST
- The number of electric bikes (e-bikes) seized by your force in each month from 1 January 2024 to 30 September 2026.
- The number of electric scooters (e-scooters) seized by your force in each month over the same period.
Definitions
By "e-bike", I mean any electric bicycle seized because it did not meet the legal requirements for an electrically assisted pedal cycle (EAPC). This includes bikes fitted with conversion kits or otherwise modified. By "seized", I mean any seizure under any power, for example Section 165A of the Road Traffic Act 1988 or Section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002.
