Q1. Please provide the total number of reported road traffic collisions from the years 2023, 2024 and year to date 2025, involving:
Learner drivers (those driving with a provisional licence)
Newly qualified drivers (those who passed their driving test within the past 24 months at the time of the collision, or as recorded)
Q2. For the figures in Q1, please provide a breakdown of each category by:

RESPONSE
We consulted with our Motoring Unit who have provided the following information regarding your request.
Please note, we do not record if a learner or newly qualified drivers are the cause of collisions however, we can search incidents where an inexperienced or learner driver/rider may have been a contributing factor to the collision. This is how the below data has been broken down. Please note the data for 2025 is from 01/01/2025 - 28/05/2025.
