This site is a beta, which means it's a work in progress and we'll be adding more to it over the next few weeks. Your feedback helps us make things better, so please let us know what you think.
1) In the 2024/25 financial year (1st April 2024 to 31st March 2025), how many crimes were logged by your force where Deliveroo, Just Eat, and/or Uber Eats were recorded as being an element in the offence? [Note: I would hope that this could be determined by a computer search on the “investigation summary field” and/or the modus operandi (MO) of crimes for the company names.]
2) Please provide me with a table showing a breakdown of the crimes from Question 1 that are ‘linked’ to Deliveroo, Just Eat, and/or Uber Eats by their mention in the MO/investigation summary field. Please break down the total by company.
3) Taking a start date of 1st April 2024 please provide me with copies of the first 10 MOs/investigation summary fields that mention either Deliveroo, Just Eat and/or Uber Eats. [Note: To assist with disclosure and to avoid engaging exemptions under s.40, I am content for names, locations, and other identifying details to be redacted. I am seeking insight into the nature of the incident and how Deliveroo, Just Eat, or Uber Eats were relevant.]
We conducted a search on our crime and incident recording system (NICHE RMS) for occurrences recorded between 01/04/2024 to 31/03/2025 where the keywords *Deliveroo*, *Just eat* or *Uber eats* were mentioned in the summary or MO.
Please note that this data has been gathered by searching our records management system for offences containing the keywords Just Eat, Uber Eats or Deliveroo in the relevant time period. The results retrieved are dependent on how the information has been entered onto the system. As such, the information provided should not be considered statistically accurate and/or definitive and therefore, care should be taken when using this data for any further statistical, analytical or evaluative purposes.
There were 133 occurrences recorded within the requested time frame where the keywords *Deliveroo*, *Just eat* or *Uber eats* were mentioned in the summary.
Please see document entitled ‘Response data 884_25’.

In relation to the redacted information, the following exemption applies:
Section 40(2) is an absolute class based exemption and therefore the authority is not required to consider the public interest in disclosure.
The Data Protection Act covers processing of personal data about a living individual. Personal data means data which relate to a living individual who can be identified-
Information will “relate to” a person if it is about them, linked to them, has some biographical significance for them, is used to inform decisions affecting them, has them as its main focus or impacts on them in any way.
If we disclosed these details, this would provide significant detail which could identify an individual and would breach the first principle of the Data Protection Act 2018.
In accordance with the Act, this letter represents a refusal notice for this part of request.
