This refers to GoSafe mobile site A470 Pentrebach-Rhyd-y-Car (70).
There are 2 x laybys within this stretch that are used for mobile enforcement, one on the Southbound carriageway (GR305495, 203558) and one on the Northbound carriageway (GR305497, 203518).
Both locations have been risk assessed and approved by South Wales Trunk Road Agency (road’s owner).
This location is approved. The parking location of the enforcement vehicle is irrelevant to the offence.
If the offence is committed on adopted Highway, it is lawful. All enforcement parking locations are thoroughly risk assessed prior to site adoption and written permission is gained from the Highway owner.
