REQUEST 

Under the Freedom of Information act please inform me of how many NIPS have been issued since the 30mph has been changed to 20mph at this location - Newport Road Jct with Claremont Avenue Cardiff – 20mph

 

RESPONSE

 

We consulted with our CTO (Central Ticket Office) who have provided the below response to your request.

 

Location: Newport Road Jct with Claremont Avenue Cardiff – 20mph

 

The speed limit at this location was changed from 30mph to 20mph on the 17/09/2023, from this date enforcement ceased at this location.

 

Enforcement was restarted in December 2024, between 18/12/2024 and 20/03/2025, 1,721 Notice of Intended Prosecutions have been issued as a result of activations detected by the safety camera at Newport Road Junction with Claremont Avenue Cardiff.
