Silent 999 calls
If you're in danger but you can't talk on the phone, you should still call 999, then follow these instructions depending on whether you're calling from a mobile or a landline.

If you have a hearing or speech impairment, use our textphone service on 18001 101.We welcome calls in English and Welsh.
Live Chat
Live Chat is available 24/7 for non-emergency contact. When you contact us via the ‘chat’ icon which can be found on the bottom right of your screen, you’ll be dealing with specialist operators in our control room. Your report will be dealt with in the same way as 101 calls, but can be faster and more convenient.
To start a Live Chat, you will need to provide a name, email address and contact number. Providing an email address enables us to send you a copy of your conversation with us, should you request it.
Call the UK Anti-Terrorism Hotline on 0800 789 321 if you've seen or heard something that you think could suggest terrorist activity.
