Report a road traffic collision without evidence

If you were involved in a collision as a driver or rider you must report the incident yourself to police as soon as possible and, in any case, within 24 hours of the collision. No one else can do this for you.
See the Road Traffic Act 1988, Section 170 for further details.
You can report it:

- by telling a police constable
Please note, as there's no evidence of the incident taking place, we can't prosecute anyone for a driving offence. However, if we get any new information we may get in touch and investigate your report further.
