The Glamorgan Constabulary was the largest of South Wales Police’s predecessor forces and, inevitably, provided most of the policemen who became members of the armed forces.
Sadly, 62 of those who had served with the Glamorgan force lost their lives.
Fifty-eight of them are named on the Glamorgan Police War Memorial at the Headquarters of South Wales Police in Bridgend.
As a result of research, the names of an additional four officers, PCs Churches, Hiscock, Perkins and Trott, have been identified, and they are now recognised by inclusion in this Roll of Honour.
