A man from Swansea has been jailed after he violently assaulted two different people in unrelated incidents six months apart.

23-year-old Korben Crocker, from Morriston, made unwanted advances towards a woman at a bar on Swansea’s Wind Street during a night out in the early hours of Sunday March 31 2024. He then launched a violent assault on the woman’s boyfriend when he was asked to stop.

The assault left the victim with a broken jaw and required the victim attend hospital to have metal plates fitted.

Later in 2024, Crocker committed another assault - this time against an ex-partner – during which he left her with swollen eyes and lips and cuts in multiple places on her head. He then fled from the victim’s home.

Despite pleading not guilty to both offences, Crocker was found guilty at Swansea Crown Court and has now been sentenced to a combined three years in prison.

Sergeant Kelly Richards said:

“Korben Crocker is a violent young man who is not only unable to control his anger, but also acts proudly about the injuries he causes to his victims as if they are some kind of honour to him.

“They are nothing to be proud about – they have resulted in him being sentenced to years in prison. Violent people like Korben have no place in society, and it is great to see that he will be locked up.

“I hope that both of his victims are pleased with the court outcome and will take comfort in the knowledge that Korben cannot do them any further harm.”
