A man from Swansea has been jailed for domestic violence offences.
34-year-old Christian Read, from Clase, was seen attacking his victim in the street by neighbours on the evening of February 24. The attack left bruising to the victim’s face and arms.
Read was later located hiding in the attic of the property underneath a blanket and some bags. He continued to act violently when arrested by officers.
He has been sentenced to 14 months in prison.
Sergeant Victoria Bayly said:
“Christian Read is a violent man who left his victim afraid of what he would do next.
“For him to brazenly enact this violence out on the street speaks volumes for what he could do behind closed doors.
“He is now rightly starting a prison sentence, and his victim can begin their process of recovery.”
