Police in Cardiff are continuing to investigate the disappearance of Charlene Hobbs, 35, who has not been seen for nearly six months.
Officers have been conducting extensive enquiries including searches of numerous addresses, derelict premises, vehicles, and open land areas across south Wales.
They are now appealing to people living in Splott and Roath to help with these searches by checking their outbuildings and empty properties.
Detective Chief Inspector Matt Powell, from South Wales Police, said:
“As part of this ongoing search, I am urging anybody who lives in the Splott and Roath areas to please check their empty properties, or any sheds or outbuildings they own, where Charlene may have taken shelter and contact us immediately if they have any information that could us help us find her.
“There are several possible explanations for Charlene’s disappearance, and we are keeping an open mind as we do all we can to establish what has happened to her.
“Charlene is a mother, a sister, a daughter, and a friend to many. Like us, they are all very concerned for her welfare and are desperate for answers.”
The last confirmed sighting of Charlene is on mobile phone photograph taken at a property in Broadway, Adamsdown, at 06:07am on July 24, 2024. The day before, July 23, 2024, Charlene was seen on CCTV in Morrisons Local, Adamsdown.
Her hair was in a bun, and she was wearing a dark strapless top, with a distinctive dragon tattoo visible on her back.
