CH4MPIONS – yes, it’s an amazing four titles in a row for the South Wales Police men’s rugby team!
The Police Sport UK cup is heading back to South Wales for a fourth successive year after a convincing win over the Scottish Thistles on Wednesday night.
Described by team management as their best performance in a decade, Team SWP secured a 60-17 triumph to ensure they added to their already-bulging trophy cabinet in style.
As well as their fourth win on the spin, it also marks the eighth time the silverware will take up residence here in De Cymru.
Wednesday’s game – played at Sale RFC’s ground in Greater Manchester – saw South Wales dominate from early, racking up a 34-5 half-time lead.
And despite a couple of late tries from the Thistles, South Wales never particularly looked as though they were going to relinquish their grip on the silverware.
Llongyfarchiadau to SWP RFC for such continued and outstanding success.
