Plane crash in Ahmedabad
The UK is working with local authorities in India to urgently establish the facts and provide support to those involved.
Officers were on patrol on Halloween evening (October 31, 2024) when their attention was drawn to a suspicious car in the Roath area.
The car was stopped by officers on Crwys Road. The driver, Ryan Lewis, 27, from Cathays, was detained and arrested.
Following a search of his flat, cash, individual bags of drugs and a mobile phone were seized.
Lewis was charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine and possession of criminal property, namely £1833 cash.
He appeared at Cardiff Crown Court on Friday December 6 where he pleaded guilty to both offences.
Lewis was sentenced on Wednesday April 2, at Cardiff Crown Court to two years and four months in prison.
Sergeant Kevin Pillar said:
“We have a zero-tolerance approach to drug dealing and this is just one example of the work we are doing in Cathays.
“We can, and regularly do, act upon the information provided to us by the public, so please keep it coming.
“Anyone with suspicions or information about illegal drug supply is urged to contact us.”
