Shaquille Hatim, 24, was the principal member of the ‘Alfie’ drug line which operated out of Ely.
He was arrested after undercover officers spotted him selling drugs on Mill Road back in April 2024.
They watched him leave and return to the same address, and shortly after, forced entry to the property.
Inside they found 41 individual wraps of crack cocaine. They also found £27,989 and 5,065 euros.
Empty kilogram-sized packages found at the address indicated Hatim was a significant supplier of Class A drugs at the time of his arrest.
It is believed that Hatim started up the Alfie drugs line to evade officers, after a drugs line known as the ‘S’ drugs line, was closed down by police in January, 2024.
Hatim supplied drugs mainly in the Ely area, coordinating a team of 'runners' to do his work. But he also sold drugs to people form across south Wales.
Hatim was arrested and charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine, possession of criminal property and possessing with intent to supply crack cocaine.
He pleaded guilty and was jailed on Friday, October 4, for 78 months.
