A man from Cardiff continued to sell cocaine despite being on bail for drug dealing.
Cameron Evans, 21, of New Road, Rumney, was initially arrested in a garden of a house in Trowbridge back in August, 2023.
Inside the house, officers from the Cardiff and Vale Organised Crime Team discovered cocaine worth £1,600, grip seal bags and digital scales, typically used to weigh drugs into smaller street deals. Officers also found what they believe to be a ‘kilo bag’ in rubbish bin in the garden.
Evans was arrested and released on bail but he continued to deal drugs and was arrested once again in October, 2024 after officers were able to link Evans to a drug line which had been active between August and September, 2024.
They discovered four ounces of cocaine worth more than £10,000 hidden in an empty paint pot and a metal cash box in the house in Rumney, where he was arrested. He was also in possession of the drug line.
As part of their investigation officers also managed to obtain CCTV footage of Cameron Evans topping up data for the drugs line in a local shop, which was used in the prosecution.
He pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine with intent to supply and possessing cocaine and was jailed for four years and eleven months at Cardiff Crown Court on Thursday, November 14.
