Callum Giles, 22, of St Davids Crescent, Ely, was stopped after officers spotted him in a McDonald’s drive through at Culverhouse Cross on November 25, 2023.
Earlier that day, he had made off from the police in the same red Ford Fiesta.
As officers were carrying out an initial search, Giles’ phone was receiving messages asking for drugs and he was arrested.
During a further search at Ely police station cocaine worth as much as £1,200 was found stuffed in Giles’ underpants.
He was charged with possessing class A drugs with intent to supply and being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
He failed to turn up to court for an initial hearing but was later found by officers and taken into custody.
Giles was jailed at Cardiff Crown Court on Thursday, June 27, after pleading guilty.
