Neath Port Talbot woman jailed for illegal drug supply

A woman from Neath Port Talbot has been jailed for her role in the supply of Class A drugs.

58-year-old Tracey Crew, from Aberavon, was subject of a warrant at her home address on November 29. Upon officers’ arrival, she pointed them towards a plastic carrier bag containing cocaine, a large amount of bank notes, a notebook and a fake soup tin can which contained several large wraps of white powder.

Further substances, cash and drug paraphernalia were found during a search of the address, while multiple cannabis plants were found in a bedroom.

After a guilty plea, she has been sentenced to three years in prison for possession with intent to supply cocaine. A previous twelve-month sentence for possession with intent to supply cannabis was also activated, meaning an overall term of four years in prison.

Detective Sergeant Heather Southway said:

“Tracey Crew was caught using her home address as a base for her drug supply operation and is now rightly beginning a prison sentence.

“Drug suppliers like this care only for the money that they make as a result of their illegal trade, and not about the countless lives that the drugs end up destroying further down the line.

“As this and other recent sentences have shown, we will take action upon all of those involved in illegal drug supply. They will be arrested, and they will find themselves in prison.”
