Family Fun Day BOB graphic.jpg

It’s almost time… the South Wales Police Family Fun Day 2023 will take place on Saturday, July 8 at HQ in Bridgend.

This event is a great opportunity for you to find out what we do as a service, from taking fingerprints to firearm demonstrations.

What’s the Family Fun Day all about?

As with last year’s event, there will once again be attractions, activities and demonstrations to delight all ages:

  • Meet our wellbeing dogs and watch police dog demonstrations
  • The chance to see our latest operational equipment including our cars and bikes
  • Check out our latest operational equipment, including our cars and bikes
  • Look around Ty Morgannwg, our new Police Learning Centre
  • Dress up for kids uniform and meet our mascot Billy Blue
  • Tours of our Heritage Centre – now fully booked
  • Firearms demonstration
  • Technology demonstrations including Facial Recognition
  • Stalls hosted by our networks, partner agencies and various departments
  • and a whole host more.

Interested in a career with the Police? Our recruitment team will be on hand to discuss our latest opportunities. PCSOs will also be available to help with applications for their role.

How much does entry cost?

This is a FREE event, giving you the chance to meet our officers and staff and learn about what we do. You don’t need to bring any form of ID. Please note that final entry is at 3:30pm.

Chief Constable Jeremy Vaughan said:

“If you and your family want to spend some time with us, see some of the work we carry out, and meet those that help keep your community safe, I would really like to welcome you all to our family day. I can’t promise the weather, but I can assure you it will be a fantastic day.”
