A man who died in a road traffic collision which happened on the A465 near Resolven at around 7pm on Friday 8 September has been named as 32-year-old Jonathan Davies from Neath.
The family of Jonathan Davies, known to his friends as ‘Archie’ paid the following tribute:
Jonathan was the cherished son of Carole, and his late father, Allan (Tojo). He was the beloved grandson of the late Hilda and much loved nephew of the late Keith, and also Terry, Ann, Peter, and Malvern. He will be deeply missed by all his cousins and countless friends.
Jonathan grew up in Neath and was a passionate golfer from a young age. He won the Neath Golf Club Senior Championship at the age of 15. Jonathan built a strong network of friends in Neath and Glynneath through his love of golf and rugby. He was loved by all who met and knew him.
Jonathan adored being around people and he touched the lives of so many. His family are humbled by the outpouring of kind messages and support left by Jonathan’s friends. Everyone who knew him has a funny story to tell about a time spent with him. He was a kind-hearted soul and always had time for his friends.
We are all shocked and devastated by this terribly sad news, we would ask for privacy at this time to try and come to terms with what has happened. Jonathan was loved by so many and will be sorely missed.“
