The family of Desmond Jones, from Resolven, who sadly lost his life following a road traffic collision which occurred on A465 from Aberdulais to Resolven, Sunday 2nd July 2023 have paid tribute to him.
"As a family we are absolutely heartbroken by the sudden death of Desmond Jones known to many as “Des”.
Des was an amazing father to his two children Kelly and David a loving Grandfather an amazing step father to Scott and Kelly and also a loving husband to Amanda.
Des was the local Postman in the Cadoxton area of Neath a job he loved for over 30 years.
He will be missed so much by his three brothers Phillip, Robert and Chris and will be deeply missed by his ex-wife Julie.
Des was a much-loved son in law of Linda and will be sorely missed within the family and that of the local Resolven community.
Many will know of Des locally as he walked his ever-faithful companion his dog Jenko who will miss him and the routine that they had.
We as a family would like to say a massive thank you for all the kind messages and well wishes received, we are truly grateful.
Des will be greatly missed by everyone, and he leaves a huge hole in our lives. RIP Des.”
